PS3 Real Arcade Pro. 3-SA Review
I got two sticks in the mail on the 4th of January 2010 and quickly opened it, plugged it in, and played some SFIV. The only thing I don’t like is that it can be a bit sensitive. In some cases, the slightest tap of a button will register as a press. It might just be the particular stick I have. If you need the buttons to be a bit resistive, this isn’t the stick for you. The buttons are so easy to push it’s crazy. The stick also moves like silk.
All in all, I like how it looks so pretty, and I just have to find a good table top or something for it since it feels a bit too high on my lap. But other than that, I trust the parts, and love the design. So, if you want a great stick for a reasonable price and don’t really need the SFIV tourney stick…then this one is for you. Plus, it’s real easy to mod.

PS3 Real Arcade Pro. 3-SA Review
The Hori Real Arcade Pro 3-SA fightstick has a good weight to it, which will keep it steady on a table or in your lap as you fire off hadokens in the latest Street Fighter. The fightstick feels very sturdy and solid, the buttons and stick are authentic Sanwa, arcade perfect parts, meant to stand up to the constant abuse from the heated battles in a busy arcade and the Hori platform they are mounted on feels as if it can handle that kind of treatment as well.
Do not underestimate the size of this beast, the layout is the same as it would be on an arcade cabinet with the addition of a few extra buttons, making it quite a massive controller, however it does not feel unweildy and it fits comfortably onto an adult sized lap.
This fightstick is the perfect peripheral for the fighting game enthusiast, working marvelously with most arcade style, one-on-one fighting games avaiable on the Playstation 3 such as Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue, Tekken 6, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and Mortal Kombat II. The HRAP 3-SA also works with Windows and, although there are not that many fighting games ported to Windows these days it still works great with Street Fighter IV or an imported copy of Melty Blood.
This is a very high end fightstick, perfect for those wanting to perfect their fighting game skills as any serious fighting game fan would want to do. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants the best fighting experience from their PS3.

I will write more about this stick in the future, but I just wanted to let people know that I find this stick to be absolutely fantastic. I just tried it out today, and I won every match thanks to the ease with which I was able to pull of the SPD. I have the SF4 TE, and I prefer this stick. I find that the lever seems slightly longer or maybe the gate is wider, allowing me to pull off motions more accurately.
There is an update to this stick coming in October. It will be straight Sanwa parts, so the buttons will be better than the Hori buttons found on this stick. Honestly, I’ve played in arcades in Japan, and I’ve used the SF4 TE for months, and I don’t find the Sanwa buttons to be so much better. It will be an improvement, and you should probably wait for that, but if the price on this model comes down, you could always install your own Sanwa buttons.
Bottom line:
Fantastic stick!
but some may want to pre-order the HRAP 3 SA instead. It’s 120 here on Amazon.

Playstation 3 Soul Calibur IV Arcade Stick Review
This is my first arcade style stick and I am please with the experience. As a perspective, I am an light/moderate gamer on consoles and PC.
Pro:
– The stick is good for SC4. Makes playing the game a lot for enjoyable instead of being cramp using the PS3 controller. As previously mentioned, makes creating combos and other moves with SC4 easier than would be otherwise.
Con:
– this is comes with a long cord, so you’re limited by the length. Shouldn’t be a problem if your seat is less 6 feet or less from the tube.
– Controls are responsive most of the time but there are minor situations when it doesn’t response as expected.
– the three mode (Fast, Normal, Slow) seems useless @ times. I’ve noticed on many occasions the mode will change on me without me touching it. Maybe happening while game play….but anyway its sensitive and the mode can cause problems during game play if you don’t watch it.
Even though I listed more cons than pros, the experience and enjoyment you get with the game like SC4 using the arcade stick out weight the minor issues. Worst scenario – you can always go back to using the PS3 controller.

Don’t have time/energy for a full review. But in case anyone is wondering if this stick works on a MACBOOK PRO read on below.
I’m playing Street Fighter IV on the Bootcamp portion of my MacBook Pro (running XP prof) with this stick. Plugging into the USB port –> immediate recognition. No need to hunt down 3rd party drivers 
. Running Street Fighter IV (PC version of course) without a hitch and using this stick rocks.
Pros:
1. Easy to set up. Literally plug and play. No need to find extra drivers.
2. Playing SF4 is nice. I use a charge character so the square bracket is actually helpful for hitting those corners exactly.
3. Small unit (see the dimensions above in product descriptor). Good for on-the-go, Yet solid enough to remain on the lap (Within reason).
Cons:
1. There’s no set default for button config that I like. I use the leftmost buttons for light punch/kick – and setting up the rest of the buttons was a real pain. If you use the 2nd leftmost buttons as the light punch/kick, then your wrist has to bend at an uncomfortable angle to manage the rest of the buttons. Remember I am using ths PC version. I hope the PS3 button config is much easier to handle.
2. The buttons have to push in just slightly more than my MadCatz TE to register. This is just personal thing.
3. The unit is a little on the smaller side. I have to admit my hands do feel a little cramped after playing for awhile.
Overall, a great fightstick with good playaction. Good quality at an excellent price ($[...] at the time of this posting).

My first stick – Jeremy R. Davis – Fort Walton Beach Florida
Its a pretty good stick. But this is my first stick, so I really dont know how to hold it at all. I use it to play street fighter 4. I still havent gotten used to dashing at all. Cant get it down. Overall its a good stick.
