PS3 JOY BOX – PS2 TO PS3 CONTROLLER ADAPTER Review
From much playing of COD4, the 6 axis controllers (which I never liked anyway because of it’s light weight) stick became unresponsive at certain angles after about 6 months – so I got a duel shock 3 – but sometimes the lateral motion just went – both in the game(not fun at all) and within the PS3 menus occasionally and I had to turn the controller off and on again to have it work right again – also other bizarre things like buttons changing functions and stuff… So – I saw this on amazon and have been nothing but impressed. – The ‘analog’ button on my old PS2 (which is reassuringly heavy and wired) works as the home button on the PS3 and brings up the main menu, but not it seems the overlay menu – which doesn’t bother me – the only other thing that the controller doesn’t do with this joy box attachment is turn the system on – which doesn’t bother me either – you can turn the system off (through the main menu) though… Very occasionally, the PS3 doesn’t seem to recognize the controller after start up, when one presses the PS2 controllers ‘analog’ button – but I just turn the PS3 on and off again and it always seems to recognize it then…
A huge bonus is that the rumble functions on PS3 games that support rumble work with this attachment – I just tested ‘COD – world at war’ (don’t often play this – much prefer ‘COD4 -modern warfare’ – which doesn’t support rumble – bring on modern warfare 2!) for the purposes of this review and works great…
Aesthetically – it’s not too bad either – the usb cord connected to this is long enough to reach from my hip hight home theatre shelf to the floor – so there’s no heavy wire (PS2 controller) dragging on the PS3s usb input…
I’m very impressed – wish I’d just got this instead of the duel shock 3 – although It’s still convenient to have a wireless controller for some applications.
Highly recommended.

The Saitek ps40u is a great joystick when you need both a pc and ps3 stick. As for the pc it is very good for use in fighter type games and has lots of features. You can assign buttons action and in some games others have files already set up. Be careful not to buy the older ps33 model as it is not usable on the ps3.

PS3 Real Arcade Mini Fighting Stick Review
I got a great deal on SFIV for the PS3. Playing it with the PS3 six-axis controller was horrible however… At least for me, who was accustomed to the good ‘ol days of playing SFII at the arcade.
I saw a myriad of stick’s out there, ranging from to upwards of 0+, and then came across this.
There weren’t really any reviews about it, but for the price (~), I took a chance…
The good: It is far, FAR better than the PS3 handheld controller.
The bad: It is VERY, VERY SMALL, and the controller seems to have some response issues.
Overall: I would recommend this to someone who doesn’t want to spend a LOT of money, but wants a marked improvement. If you play a lot of fighting games and are a die-hard player, you might consider picking it up as a spare (or for friends) and get a ‘real’ stick, but for me, who works full time, and has a wife and two kids, it does the job.

Playstation 3 Soul Calibur IV Arcade Stick Review
This is my first arcade style stick and I am please with the experience. As a perspective, I am an light/moderate gamer on consoles and PC.
Pro:
– The stick is good for SC4. Makes playing the game a lot for enjoyable instead of being cramp using the PS3 controller. As previously mentioned, makes creating combos and other moves with SC4 easier than would be otherwise.
Con:
– this is comes with a long cord, so you’re limited by the length. Shouldn’t be a problem if your seat is less 6 feet or less from the tube.
– Controls are responsive most of the time but there are minor situations when it doesn’t response as expected.
– the three mode (Fast, Normal, Slow) seems useless @ times. I’ve noticed on many occasions the mode will change on me without me touching it. Maybe happening while game play….but anyway its sensitive and the mode can cause problems during game play if you don’t watch it.
Even though I listed more cons than pros, the experience and enjoyment you get with the game like SC4 using the arcade stick out weight the minor issues. Worst scenario – you can always go back to using the PS3 controller.
